Miami’s Historic Overtown Neighborhood

Miami’s Historic Overtown neighborhood is a center of Black culture that was once known as the Harlem of the South. Highlights include celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster restaurant, soul food at Lil Greenhouse Grill, the Historic Lyric Theater and the Dana A. Dorsey House, which was once the home of Miami’s first Black millionaire.
